Drake appears on Karol G's new track "Ahí" referencing his earlier song
Drake features on Karol G's album "No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto," delivering lyrics that echo his earlier single "New Bestie," as the album debuts on the charts.
Canadian rapper Drake is featured on Colombian singer Karol G's latest album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, which was released on August 7. The collaboration appears on the fourth track, titled "Ahí," where both artists trade verses about romantic interest and uncertainty. Near the end of the song Drake repeats the line, "I want a Latina, I want a Latina / I want a face just like Karolina / And I want a waist just like Karolina … I'm not a drug dealer, my money's way cleaner."
The lyric directly interpolates Drake's May-release single "New Bestie," which previously included a shout-out to Karol G. "New Bestie" reached No. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100, while his album MAID OF HONOUR debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Karol G's album, her first since 2024's Tropicoqueta, contains collaborations with artists such as Bruno Mars and Greg Gonzalez. It entered the Top Latin Albums chart at No. 1, adding to her four previous chart-topping releases. Drake's involvement was hinted at earlier in the year, and he later appeared on the Jumbotron at Karol G's Toronto concert in July.
"Yeah, I want a Latina, I want a Latina / I want a G like Karolina," Drake had previously rapped on "New Bestie."
