Stefon Diggs Appears in Washington Commanders Practice Wearing No. 18
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs made his first on-field appearance for the Washington Commanders, debuting a new jersey number during Friday's practice.
Stefon Diggs took the field for the Washington Commanders for the first time on Friday, wearing jersey number 18 after completing his contract signing. The appearance marks his debut with the team and introduces a new number for the veteran receiver.
The number will be the fourth different jersey Diggs has worn in his NFL career. He wore No. 14 during his nine seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills, switched to No. 1 after being traded to the Houston Texans before the 2024 season, and wore No. 8 last year with the New England Patriots.
The Commanders' No. 18 had been assigned to safety Tyler Owens before the start of the previous season. It is not yet known whether Diggs secured the number through a trade or is using it on a temporary basis.
