Man arrested with ammunition at Trump golf course in California

Resumen

A 38-year-old man was detained at Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes after police found a loaded pistol, ammunition and other weapons in his possession.

Los Angeles County sheriffs arrested Jeanine John Taele, 38, on Sunday at the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Officers said Taele was recording video and photographs of the site and had a 16-round magazine with ammunition in his pocket, while a loaded pistol was recovered from his vehicle. A search of his Downey residence the following day uncovered additional firearms, magazines, ammunition, body armor and notebooks containing statements that authorities described as concerning.

Taele faces multiple felony charges, including second-degree robbery, possession of a large-capacity magazine, and possession of a short-barreled rifle or shotgun, as well as a misdemeanor for carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. He entered a not-guilty plea on Monday, was ordered to stay away from the golf course and barred from possessing weapons, and was set bail at $250,000.

The sheriff’s department noted that Taele was already under investigation by the El Segundo Police Department for robbery and emphasized that there is "no credible threat to our communities."
