Modest Mouse drops guitarist Simon O'Connor over minor messaging claims
Modest Mouse announced in California on August 2 that guitarist Simon O'Connor would not take part in its upcoming fall tour after accusations he sent inappropriate Instagram messages to a teenage fan. The band said the decision was made to protect the tour’s integrity.
Earlier, Rolling Stone reported the removal and noted that the group would be joined by Les Savy Fav guitarist Seth Jabour as a fill-in. Page Six also covered the story, echoing the allegation of messages to a minor.
