Sid Wilson reportedly leaves Slipknot after nearly three decades
Turntablist Sid Wilson is said to have been removed from Slipknot, ending his 27-year tenure with the band, according to a TMZ report.
Turntablist Sid Wilson is reportedly no longer a member of Slipknot, a claim first reported by TMZ on July 31. The outlet said Wilson was removed from the band earlier that day, though Slipknot’s representatives have not confirmed the report.
Wilson joined Slipknot in 1998 as the group’s ninth member and performed on the band’s 1999 self-titled debut album. Over the years he became known for his energetic live performances and occasional injuries, including breaking both heels during a 2008 festival show. Outside the group, he has continued DJing under the name DJ Starscream and launched his own label, Vomit Face Records, in 2025.
The news follows recent personal developments for Wilson, including the reported end of his relationship with Kelly Osbourne, with whom he has a son. Slipknot has seen numerous lineup changes since its inception, bringing the total number of members to 19 over the decades.
