Chris Olave signs four-year, $132 million extension with New Orleans Saints
Wide receiver Chris Olave agreed to a four-year contract worth $132 million, including $90 million guaranteed, extending his stay with the New Orleans Saints.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave has reached a four-year extension valued at $132 million, with $90 million guaranteed, according to his agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus. The deal was confirmed shortly after general manager Mickey Loomis expressed optimism about securing the 2022 first-round pick beyond the final year of his rookie contract. Loomis noted that Olave’s injury history, which includes multiple concussions and a recent blood clot in his lung, was a factor in the negotiations. Olave, who has recorded 291 receptions for 3,728 yards and 19 touchdowns since being drafted, missed the team’s first training-camp drill for “business reasons,” head coach Kellen Moore said, but is expected to participate fully for the remainder of camp.
"Olave’s production was a major consideration in the agreement," Loomis said. The extension gives Olave five additional seasons to add to his career totals with the Saints.
