Marvel Announces New Black Panther and Ghost Rider Cast at Comic-Con

Resumen

Marvel Studios revealed David Jonsson as the new Black Panther and confirmed Ryan Gosling will portray Ghost Rider, with both films slated for release in December 2028.

Marvel Studios used its Comic-Con International presentation on Saturday to introduce David Jonsson as the new Black Panther, the son of Chadwick Boseman's T’Challa, and to announce that Ryan Gosling will play Ghost Rider in a film scheduled for December 15, 2028. Jonsson, 32, appeared on stage with director Ryan Coogler, Letitia Wright and Winston Duke, and said, "Thank you to this family that I have the honor and the blessing to join. I don’t want to say too much, because I want to let the screen do the talking."

The studio also confirmed that Gosling will work again with director Shawn Levy, who previously collaborated with the actor on "Starfighter," for the Ghost Rider project. Kevin Feige noted that the 2019 film "Avengers: Endgame" will be re-released on September 25 with additional footage linking it to the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday," set for December 18. A trailer revealed that Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor Von Doom will have a past connection to Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) and Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby).

The panel featured a range of Marvel talent, including Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Simu Liu, Anthony Mackie and Paul Rudd, among others. Ryan Reynolds appeared in a gray Deadpool costume and engaged in banter with Rudd and Downey Jr.

Marvel indicated that the announcements aim to revitalize its brand after a period of mixed reception to recent releases and an expanded slate of Disney+ series.
