49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan injured in Palo Alto car crash

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was seriously injured in a car accident that occurred in Palo Alto earlier this month, the franchise said. The team did not disclose details about the crash or the extent of Shanahan's injuries, but confirmed that he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No further information about his condition or expected return to duties has been released.

The 49ers have not announced any changes to coaching responsibilities while Shanahan recovers, and the organization said it will provide updates as more information becomes available.
