Mahomes cleared for full Chiefs training camp, returns to practice
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes returned to Kansas City Chiefs practice after being cleared for full training camp participation following his ACL surgery. He will train with a knee brace, and the team said it will take a cautious approach, noting some fans' concerns about the appearance of his leg. Earlier, Mahomes said he feels stronger than ever after rehab and that missing time with his children was the hardest part.
He also indicated he would use a knee brace during practice, adjusting its use based on comfort. The quarterback noted that advice from Tom Brady and other players who recovered from similar injuries helped his recovery, and head coach Andy Reid confirmed his medical clearance.
