Larry David Satirizes Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in New Episode of HBO Max Series
In the latest episode of "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness," Larry David’s character mocks anti-vaccine rhetoric by confronting a caricature of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Larry David’s newest appearance on HBO Max’s comedy series "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness" features a scene in which he portrays Dora Salk, the mother of polio-vaccine developer Jonas Salk. While chatting with a neighbor, Dora is challenged by a character resembling anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who claims vaccines are dangerous.
The dialogue escalates, with Dora dismissing the claims and warning that placing such a figure in charge of public health would be disastrous. David, known for his criticism of President Trump, has previously expressed disapproval of Kennedy’s anti-vaccine stance.
Cheryl Hines, David’s former co-star on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and Kennedy’s wife, has not appeared in the new series and has indicated that her friendship with David has faded in recent years. The episode uses the confrontation to lampoon misinformation surrounding vaccines.
