Country singer Jelly Roll and podcaster Bunnie Xo finalize divorce settlement

Summary

The couple reached a confidential agreement that includes a lump-sum payment to Bunnie Xo and division of shared assets, with a clause barring public disparagement.

Country musician Jelly Roll, whose legal name is Jason DeFord, and his wife Bunnie Xo, born Alisa DeFord, have finalized a divorce settlement, court documents show. The agreement, reached earlier this month, keeps most details private but includes a one-time lump-sum payment to Bunnie and an equal split of assets such as an aircraft, vehicles, homes and intellectual property. A key provision prohibits either party from making negative public statements about the other.

The filing, submitted on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, cited “irreconcilable differences” and listed the separation date as May 9, 2026. Both parties acknowledged shared real and personal property and marital debts, and anticipated signing a Marital Dissolution Agreement to allocate assets and liabilities.

Bunnie Xo addressed the divorce in a now-deleted podcast episode, stating the couple settled “on the best possible terms” and that she would retain their home in Franklin. She also mentioned ongoing IVF treatments and a baby in progress, emphasizing that no infidelity occurred. Jelly Roll referenced the settlement during a concert in Saratoga Springs, New York, describing Bunnie as his “best friend” and confirming the absence of cheating.

The settlement follows a period of public speculation, including the removal of wedding rings and changes to social-media profiles. Both individuals have since pursued separate personal projects and public appearances.
