Russian missile and drone barrage kills dozens across Ukraine on July 30, 2026
Russian missile and drone attacks on 30 July 2026 killed eight civilians, including two children, and injured around 30 people in several Ukrainian cities, Ukrainian officials said, according to BBC. An unidentified object exploded near Tarnawa-Kolonia in eastern Poland during the same strike, CNN reported. DW added that the attacks also hit Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih and Lviv, killing at least one person in the capital and six in Kryvyi Rih. The July onslaught followed a series of Russian strikes earlier in the month. On 11 July, a missile hit the outskirts of Kyiv, killing ten civilians, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned as evidence of delayed arms deliveries, according to The Guardian.
An overnight drone and missile raid on Odesa port killed three people and damaged infrastructure, BBC reported. A cruise-missile strike on a Guinea-Bissau-flagged cargo vessel near Odesa killed ten, including four Indians, also reported by BBC. In response, Ukraine launched more than 400 drones toward Moscow, igniting a fire at a Wildberries warehouse, as detailed by The Guardian, while The Independent noted that three Chinese nationals were wounded and four Indian seafarers were killed in the Odesa attack. After a missile strike on a drone exhibition near Kyiv killed at least 11, authorities detained weapons-expo organizer Vasyl Goncharuk on negligence charges, per The Guardian.
