ESPN analyst Matt Miller's crash video adds to investigation into fantasy league allegations

Resumen

A dash-cam video of Matt Miller's June car crash has been released as the Missouri attorney general investigates complaints about his fantasy football leagues and a related GoFundMe campaign.

A dash-cam recording obtained by a California newspaper shows ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller’s Ford Bronco crossing a double-yellow line on a two-lane road in Jasper County, Missouri, and colliding with an oncoming truck at about 3:50 p.m. on June 17. The crash left Miller with multiple fractures, broken ribs and an injury that required amputation of his left arm.

Miller announced on his X account that the surgery was successful and that he would step away from ESPN indefinitely to focus on recovery. ESPN placed him on leave following the accident.

Separately, the Missouri attorney general’s office opened an investigation after dozens of fantasy-football participants alleged that Miller, who served as commissioner of 91 leagues last season, failed to distribute promised payouts and used league proceeds for charitable claims without follow-through. The AG’s office is soliciting complaints from anyone with relevant information.

After the crash, a GoFundMe campaign for Miller raised $55,000, surpassing its initial $10,000 goal. Some contributors reported delayed or missing payments, and the campaign’s fundraising paused after the AG investigation began.

The new video and ongoing inquiries have intensified public scrutiny of Miller’s activities, though he has not commented on the allegations.
