Pop singer Justin Bieber will join Madonna, Shakira and BTS for the inaugural FIFA World Cup half-time show on July 19, with proceeds supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
Canadian singer Justin Bieber is set to appear in the first FIFA World Cup half-time show, scheduled for July 19 in New York. He will perform alongside Madonna, Shakira and the K-pop group BTS as part of an 11-minute program that also features Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus with Coldplay, and the Sesame Street characters. The event is organized to raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to collect $100 million for children’s education worldwide. > "The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," Bieber said. The show is curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Earlier this year, Bieber returned to live performance at Coachella after canceling his Justice World Tour due to health concerns. The tournament, featuring 48 teams across Mexico, Canada and the United States, has progressed to the quarter-final stage with matches slated in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami and Kansas City.
