Mint Mobile lowers all plans to $15 per month amid Pixel phone shortage

Summary

Mint Mobile is offering its prepaid plans for $15 a month for new customers, while its inventory of Google Pixel phones has been depleted.

Mint Mobile has launched a promotion that reduces the price of all its prepaid plans to $15 per month for new subscribers. The discount applies to 3-month, 6-month and 12-month terms, with required upfront payments of $45, $90 or $180 respectively, and taxes and fees are added on top. The reduced rate is limited to the initial plan term; after that, customers can renew at the same price for a longer term or switch to standard pricing.

The carrier’s website no longer lists any Google Pixel devices, indicating that its stock of the smartphones has been exhausted. Mint Mobile has not provided a timeline for restocking, and the company was not reached for comment. Customers can still purchase a Pixel phone elsewhere and use it on Mint’s network.

"The new-customer offer applies only to the first plan term; subsequent renewals are subject to regular rates," the plan details state.

The timing coincides with the upcoming launch of new Pixel models from Google, which may explain the temporary unavailability of the devices on Mint’s site.
