Publix recalls frozen GreenWise blueberries after E. coli outbreak

Publix recalled 10-ounce bags of GreenWise Organic IQF frozen blueberries sold in eight southeastern states after health officials linked the product to twelve confirmed E. coli O145:H28 cases. Fox Business reported that the recall targeted a specific lot following those illness reports. WSFA later confirmed that the recall covered the 10-ounce bags distributed across the eight states.

The retailer and its supplier, Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S. A. , instructed stores to remove the affected lot from shelves. The coordinated effort aimed to prevent further exposure to the contaminated berries.
