Tech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson disclosed his diagnosis of autoimmune gastritis in a public statement. The New York Post reported that the incurable disease has caused stomach damage and iron deficiency. The Independent noted that Johnson described the condition as irreversible and said he would continue experimental monitoring and treatment efforts.
Fox News added that the disorder impairs stomach-acid production and nutrient absorption. Yahoo highlighted that the condition had gone undetected for more than a decade despite Johnson’s extensive health testing, which he funds at roughly $2 million annually. A later report by the Independent said Johnson attributes the disease to his earlier dietary habits.
