Biohacker Bryan Johnson Diagnosed with Incurable Autoimmune Gastritis
Tech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson disclosed that he has been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis, an incurable condition that has caused stomach damage and iron deficiency, according to the New York Post. The 48-year-old biohacker highlighted the seriousness of the diagnosis and said he would continue experimental monitoring and treatment efforts, The Independent reported. Later reports noted that the condition impairs stomach acid production and nutrient absorption, Fox News said, and that it had remained undetected for more than a decade despite extensive testing, Yahoo reported.
Johnson, who spends roughly $2 million annually on personal health monitoring, said he will work to address the disorder. He emphasized his commitment to pursuing experimental therapies to manage the disease.
