Police responded to a shooting on the 2900 block of West 31st Street in Brooklyn's Coney Island shortly after 10:30 p.m. on July 4, reporting that eight people were injured. The victims included two adult men, two adult women, and four boys aged 6, 7, 12 and 14. All were taken to nearby hospitals; seven were listed as stable while a 21-year-old woman remained in critical condition. > "All victims were transported by EMS to local area hospitals where seven people were listed in stable condition," the NYPD said, adding that the 21-year-old woman is in critical condition. A firearm was recovered at the scene, but no arrests have been made.
