Senator Elizabeth Warren wrote to Eric Trump in Washington, D. C. , asking his view on whether the Trump family would refile the dismissed Capital One lawsuit, the New York Post reported. Warren linked the request to the Senate Banking Committee's ongoing review of President Trump's nominee, Brian Johnson, for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

She noted that the committee faces a July deadline for completing its review of the nomination. The letter sought to determine if the family plans to revive the de-banking suit that had previously been dismissed.
