Iran schedules week-long multi-city funeral for Khamenei

The New York Times reported that Iranian authorities announced they will hold a week-long series of funeral ceremonies for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in several cities across Iran and Iraq. The announcement indicated that the rites are scheduled to begin in the coming days. The planned events will span multiple locations within Iran.

Additional ceremonies are also slated for cities in neighboring Iraq. The week-long schedule will allow mourning activities to take place across the region.
