Florida Governor DeSantis Announces Plan to Label 90+ Groups Terrorist

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the state will use the newly enacted HB 1471 to designate more than 90 groups as terrorist organizations, Fox News reported. The legislation, passed only weeks earlier, provides the legal framework for the designations. DeSantis said the list will encompass a broad range of organizations, exceeding ninety in total.

Among those named are the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Muslim Brotherhood and Antifa. Each designation will require final approval by the governor and the state cabinet before taking effect.
