Commercial Lunar Travel Firms Open Million-Dollar Moon Reservations
Space Daily reported that commercial lunar travel firms announced they were accepting reservations for lunar orbit flights and future Moon hotel stays. The companies set the price at around one million dollars per seat, positioning the trips as premium tourism products. NASA, meanwhile, confirmed that its Artemis II mission had successfully demonstrated the technical capability required for crewed lunar flights.
Industry observers noted that the availability of paid reservations marked a transition from purely scientific missions to a commercial travel market. The announcements came as the sector prepared to market the first civilian journeys to the Moon within the next few years.
