Graded Nintendo Wii fetches $800, far above typical resale values
A graded, unopened Nintendo Wii sold for $800 in a resale transaction, far exceeding typical market prices. According to price-tracking data compiled by BGR. com, a standard used Wii typically changes hands for around $50.
The same data indicate that sealed, complete-in-box copies can command $300 or more on the secondary market. By contrast, a brand-new Wii retails for less than half the $800 price achieved by the graded unit. The $800 sale therefore more than doubles the cost of a new console.
