Kobo Libra Colour e-reader returns to $229.99 amid price drop
The Kobo Libra Colour e-reader is being sold for its previous price of $229.99 after a recent price increase, positioning it as a lower-cost alternative to Amazon's Kindle Colorsoft.
Kobo's Libra Colour e-reader, which was raised to $259.99 earlier this month, is now available from the manufacturer, Best Buy and Target for $229.99, matching its pre-increase price. The device features a 7-inch color E Ink display, waterproof construction and adjustable warm lighting for night reading. It supports EPUB and a wide range of file formats, and includes 32 GB of storage, double that of the Kindle Colorsoft, which retails for $249.99. Physical page-turning buttons differentiate it from the Kindle, and an optional Stylus 2 allows users to annotate, take handwritten notes and convert handwriting to typed text. The Libra Colour also integrates with Instapaper for offline article reading.
