Man and woman detained after climbing Empire State Building with peace banner

A man and a woman climbed the Empire State Building’s spire in New York and unfurled a banner reading “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace,” NBC News reported. The banner was displayed at the 1,500-foot height of the iconic skyscraper, visible to pedestrians below. New York Police Department officers responded to the incident and moved to the rooftop area.
