Kroger announces $1.65 billion acquisition of Giant Eagle
Kroger announced it will acquire regional grocery chain Giant Eagle for $1. 65 billion, 90. 5 WESA reported. The purchase adds 197 supermarkets and 11 pharmacies to Kroger’s portfolio.
The Cincinnati Enquirer said the transaction is expected to close in the coming years pending regulatory approval.
