NBC Sports reported that a Times story claimed Russini had FaceTimed an NFL coach to evade a texting-while-driving ticket. Body-camera footage released by a media watchdog later showed she did not make such a call, directly contradicting the allegation.
The video evidence prompted questions about the accuracy of the original report. Following the release of the footage, the newspaper revised its coverage, stating that details of the traffic stop remained uncertain.
