Dell and Susan Dell pledge $250 to 25 million children under new youth investment program

Resumen

Michael and Susan Dell announced a partnership to provide a $250 contribution to the first 25 million eligible children who enroll in the government-backed Trump Accounts program.

Tech entrepreneur Michael Dell and his wife Susan Dell said they will contribute $250 to each of the first 25 million American children who sign up for the newly launched Trump Accounts program. The contribution is part of a public-private partnership aimed at giving young participants a financial stake in the economy.

Trump Accounts, a component of recent tax legislation, offers a $1,000 government-provided investment to U.S. citizens born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, when their parents register the accounts during tax filing. Parents act as custodians until the child reaches age 18 and may add up to $5,000 per year, which is invested in U.S. companies.

"This makes every child a shareholder in the greatest prosperity-creating engine the world has ever known — American capitalism," Dell wrote on X.

President Donald Trump said the program could generate $3-$4 trillion in wealth for young Americans over the next 15 years and called it a transformative policy innovation. The Dells previously pledged more than $6 billion to related initiatives.
