Paris mortuaries reach capacity amid record heat wave

Public Health France said Paris mortuaries reached full capacity as a record heat wave caused a surge in deaths. The agency reported more than 1,200 deaths on the hottest day and daily totals hovering around 1,400, with seniors accounting for the majority. Funeral homes across the city were forced to look for extra storage space.
