Ukraine conducts massive drone raid on Russian regions, Crimea and swaps prisoners

The Ukrainian military launched a large-scale nighttime drone raid against multiple Russian regions and Crimea, deploying hundreds of unmanned aircraft. The operation targeted oil and energy facilities as well as other infrastructure, according to NPR. Russian defence officials said they shot down numerous drones and reported civilian casualties resulting from Russian attacks elsewhere in Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed the interceptions, highlighting the scale of the Ukrainian assault.

Later, Ukrainian and Russian authorities announced a reciprocal prisoner swap. Both sides released 160 detainees, Fox News reported. The exchange was described as part of ongoing negotiations to resolve the status of captured personnel. Officials said the swap was completed without incident.
