West Wilson Confirms Departure from Bravo's "Summer House" Amid Romance Controversy
Reality star West Wilson acknowledged his exit from "Summer House" and said the decision was likely for the show's benefit, while sources say he may still appear in a cameo.
Reality personality West Wilson told the "Broadcast Boys" podcast on Wednesday that reports of his removal from Bravo's "Summer House" were accurate. > "I wanted to tell it on my own but that [exit rumor] is true," he said, adding that he believed the show would not have been enjoyable for him. > "In [Bravo’s] defense, I don’t think it would have been a fun summer."
The decision follows Wilson's disclosed romantic involvement with fellow cast member Amanda Batula, which was confirmed by the pair in March. In a joint Instagram statement, they said the relationship grew from a long-standing friendship and that they delayed public discussion to handle the situation privately. Sources close to the series told TMZ that Wilson could still make a cameo appearance when filming for the upcoming season begins around the Fourth of July weekend.
The romance sparked tension among other cast members. Ciara Miller, a co-star and close friend of Batula, expressed surprise that Batula was dating her former boyfriend, while Batula's recent separation from husband Kyle Cooke was also highlighted during the Season 10 reunion. Cooke questioned the timeline of Wilson and Batula's relationship, noting that his own separation was announced the same day as his public split from his wife.
