Detroit Lions waive cornerback Terrion Arnold

The Detroit Lions announced on Monday that they have waived cornerback Terrion Arnold, a move reflected in the league’s latest transaction report. The waiver claiming period will close at 4:00 p.m. ET on July 6.

Arnold, who is under a two-year first-round rookie contract, faces eight felony charges in Florida related to an armed robbery and kidnapping. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday as prosecutors seek to impose an ankle monitor during his home confinement pending trial.

If claimed by another team, Arnold could be subject to NFL protocols for players under criminal investigation, which may include placement on paid leave.
