Family launches GoFundMe after Connecticut man dies at Madison Square Garden concert
Paul Kueker's daughter started a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses after he died at a Madison Square Garden concert, raising over $58,000 toward a $65,000 goal.
A GoFundMe page was created by Kloe Kueker to help cover funeral and memorial costs for her father, Paul Kueker, who died at age 51 after jumping from his seat at a Madison Square Garden concert. The fundraiser, which had collected more than $58,800 by Wednesday, aims to reach $65,000.
Kueker was attending a performance by the rock band Goose in New York City, celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary, when he left his seat and fell. His wife, Kristen, was seated a few sections away and was not aware of the incident until officials informed her. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The band Goose issued statements expressing condolences and observed a moment of silence at a subsequent show. It also sold "BIG LOVE" T-shirts, directing proceeds to the family's GoFundMe. The city medical examiner’s office said the cause of death is still under investigation and a toxicology report is pending.
