Man dies after falling at Goose concert in New York
A 51-year-old concertgoer fell from an upper level at Madison Square Garden during a Goose performance and was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.
Police said a 51-year-old man died after falling from an elevated area of Madison Square Garden during a Goose concert on Saturday night. Officers responded to a 911 call shortly before 10 p.m. and found the victim unconscious with injuries consistent with a fall from a height. The man, identified as Paul Kueker of Niantic, Connecticut, was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue where he was pronounced dead. The NYPD said no criminal activity is suspected and the investigation is ongoing. Kueker had attended the show with his wife. Social-media reports indicated the fall occurred from an upper-level deck into a lower section of the arena. The band continued its performance, unaware of the incident. > "We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show. We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected," the band posted on Instagram. > "While we await the police report on the tragedy at last night's Goose concert, we are deeply saddened by the loss of a fan's life at Madison Square Garden. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the concertgoer," a MSG Entertainment spokesperson said.
