Kennedy Center Evaluates Closure Options After Court Blocks Full Shutdown
The Kennedy Center in Washington, D. C. , evaluated options for a full, partial, or phased closure after a federal judge barred a complete shutdown.
According to CBS News, the Trump administration told the judge that the center was reviewing those options in compliance with the court order, which prohibits a total shutdown for the foreseeable future. CNBC reported that the center would keep its public spaces open after the judge halted a planned two-year shutdown, and board members slated revised renovation options for later in the year. Deadline later noted that the center stayed open for now, but officials had not confirmed new performances while considering three possible closure scenarios.
