The Portland Trail Blazers have been identified as the most probable destination for Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jaylen Brown, according to a report by The Athletic. League sources say the Celtics are seeking as many as four first-round draft selections in a potential deal, and Portland appears positioned to meet that demand.
Portland has reportedly excluded players such as Deni Avdija and Donovan Clingan from trade discussions, focusing instead on assets like Jerami Grant, Scoot Henderson, Shaedon Sharpe and Toumani Camara to provide salary matching and appeal to Boston. The franchise also controls an unprotected 2028 first-round pick from the Orlando Magic, a favorable 2029 first-round pick originally belonging to the Bucks and Celtics, and several pick-swap options with Milwaukee, which could be combined with player assets to satisfy Celtics general manager Brad Stevens.
Analysts note that any package involving Brown would likely rank among the most significant acquisitions in Blazers history, pending agreement on the balance of players and draft picks required by Boston.
