Wyndham Clark leads the U.S. Open by six strokes as he prepares for the final round at Shinnecock Hills, with Scottie Scheffler positioned as his nearest challenger.
Wyndham Clark entered Sunday’s final round of the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills with a six-stroke advantage over the field. The 32-year-old posted a 70 in the third round after setting a 36-hole course record of 7-under during the first two days of the tournament. Clark, who captured his first major title at the 2023 U.S. Open, also won the CJ Cup last month, marking his fourth PGA Tour victory.
Scottie Scheffler, who would complete a career grand slam with a win, was the closest competitor after carding a 69 in the third round. Scheffler, turning 30 on Sunday, was scheduled to tee off alongside Clark at 2:30 p.m. ET. Other notable players teeing off later in the day included Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa, and Tommy Fleetwood.
The final round will be broadcast on USA Network from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET and on NBC and Peacock from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET.
