Podcaster Bunnie Xo Says She Encouraged Fans to Message Estranged Husband Jelly Roll Amid Divorce
Bunnie Xo told listeners she asked women to DM her husband Jelly Roll during their separation, while confirming the couple filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
Bunnie Xo, host of the "Dumb Blonde" podcast, said on a recent episode that she had urged many female listeners to send direct messages to her estranged husband, country singer Jelly Roll, as the couple moves through their divorce. She noted that the messages were being forwarded back to her instead of reaching him.
"I told so many girls to go in J's DMs. Good luck with that," Xo said during the Friday broadcast.
The divorce was filed by Jelly Roll, whose legal name is Jason DeFord, on May 18 in Williamson County, Tennessee, with the separation date listed as May 9. Court documents cite "irreconcilable differences" as the reason, stating the parties are unable to live together successfully as husband and wife.
Xo, whose real name is Alisa Andrea DeFord, emphasized that she does not want fans to take sides in the split. She also mentioned that she still considers Jelly Roll a close friend, adding that she remains supportive of him.
The couple met backstage in Las Vegas in 2015, married in August 2016, and renewed their vows in 2023. Jelly Roll has two children from previous relationships.
