AI Discovers FFmpeg Vulnerabilities; Google Releases Chrome 149 Update
A security startup named depthfirst developed an AI that uncovered 21 previously unknown vulnerabilities in the FFmpeg multimedia framework. This discovery highlighted new security risks within the widely used software. Subsequently, Google released version 149 of its Chrome browser, which addressed a record total of 429 security issues.
Among these, over 100 were classified as critical vulnerabilities, marking the largest security update in Chrome's history according to The Hacker News. The update aims to enhance user protection against a broad range of threats by patching these newly identified flaws.
