Ukrainian Drone Strikes Damage Multiple Bridges Linking Kherson to Crimea

Ukrainian forces carried out drone strikes overnight on June 11 against four bridges that link the Russian-occupied part of Kherson region with the Crimean peninsula, according to Vladimir Saldo, the governor appointed by Moscow for the occupied area. The targeted crossings include two bridges over the North Crimean Canal near Preobrazhenka and Myrne, a road bridge on the Perekop-Armyansk route, and a bridge near the settlement of Stavky. Saldo said preliminary assessments show damage and that specialists are inspecting the structures.

The attacks follow a series of recent disruptions to Russian supply lines between occupied southern Ukraine and Crimea. On June 10, Ukrainian forces struck the Chonhar Bridge, a key segment of the R-280 highway used for moving troops and equipment, and also attempted to hit a bridge linking Henichesk with the Arabat Spit. Russian-installed authorities reported that the latter bridge remained partially operational, with traffic limited to a single lane in reverse direction while repairs continued.

Logistical pressures are also mounting within Crimea itself. Sevastopol’s Russian-installed governor, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said fuel tankers were unable to reach the city on June 10, forcing authorities to prioritize fuel for public transport, municipal services and emergency vehicles and to advise residents against queuing at petrol stations. He later reported that more than two dozen Ukrainian drones were shot down during an early-morning attack on the city.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has described the campaign as part of a "Logistic Lockdown" strategy aimed at weakening Russian supply chains by targeting transport corridors, fuel depots and other logistical nodes behind the front line.
