Search Launched for Four Inmates Who Escaped Alabama Correctional Facility
Authorities are searching for four inmates who escaped from the Perry County Correctional PREP Center in Uniontown, Alabama, where they were held on serious charges.
A search is currently in progress for four inmates who escaped from the Perry County Correctional PREP Center in Uniontown, Alabama, early Saturday morning. The Perry County Sheriff's Office reported that law enforcement officials were notified of the escape around 1 a.m. local time.
The escaped individuals have been identified as Marquavious Billingsley, Jaden Christopher Maxwell, Johnny Dave Harris Bush Jr., and Kevin Gunn. They were incarcerated at the center under an agreement with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department, which oversees the facility designed for Parole and Probation Reentry Education and Employment programs.
These inmates faced various serious charges, including murder, first-degree robbery, and possession of contraband. Residents are advised to contact 911 if they have any information about the escapees, and they are warned not to approach them. "The safety of Perry County residents is the top priority," stated Perry County Sheriff Roy Fikes, who assured that deputies and surrounding agencies are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the escapees and are conducting an ongoing investigation.
