Apple Previews Redesigned Siri and Camera Features in iOS 27 Leak
Newly leaked images suggest significant design and functionality changes for Siri and the Camera app in iOS 27, with features set to be announced at Apple’s upcoming WWDC.
Recent leaks from Bloomberg provide insights into the redesigned Siri interface and new functionality within the Camera app that will be part of iOS 27. According to the report, Siri will now be integrated within the Dynamic Island, allowing users to activate it by saying 'Siri' or holding down the power button, which will trigger a new animation.
The updated Siri will also feature a 'Search or Ask' interface accessible by swiping down from the top center of the iPhone. This interface will enable users to launch apps, send messages, check the weather, and more, leveraging an AI-powered search system. Users can also connect with third-party AI agents via a dropdown menu of service options, building on existing partnerships with companies like OpenAI and Google.
Visuals also indicate that the Siri chatbot will resemble popular AI applications, displaying rich text cards for information on various topics, including personal data and weather updates. Furthermore, the Camera app is set to gain customizable features, including an 'Add Widgets' panel for easier access to tools and AI-powered editing options. Apple plans to formally announce iOS 27 during its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8th.
