Blake Lively Seeks Damages Following Settlement with Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively is seeking attorneys' fees, compensatory damages, and punitive damages following the recent settlement with her 'It Ends With Us' co-star and director, Justin Baldoni.

In a statement, Lively's attorneys, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, described the settlement as a significant victory, emphasizing that Baldoni and other defendants now face personal liability for alleged misuse of the legal system. They also noted that the defendants acknowledged Lively's concerns deserved to be heard, countering previous claims that she fabricated allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation.

The settlement, which awaits approval from a federal judge in New York, was reached three days after both parties issued a joint statement expressing pride in their work on 'It Ends With Us' and their commitment to raising awareness about domestic violence. They acknowledged the challenges during production and recognized that Lively's concerns deserved attention.

Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, stated that both Baldoni and his co-defendant, Jamey Heath, are pleased with the settlement outcome.

The initial court date remains scheduled for May 18.
