Court Orders Taylor Frankie Paul and Ex-Partner to Maintain Distance Amid Custody Dispute
A Utah court has mandated that reality TV star Taylor Frankie Paul and her former partner Dakota Mortensen stay at least 100 feet apart for three years, as custody arrangements for their 2-year-old son are evaluated.
A Utah court has ordered Taylor Frankie Paul, known from "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," and her ex-partner Dakota Mortensen to remain at least 100 feet apart for the next three years. This decision comes as the court continues to assess custody arrangements for their 2-year-old son.
During the hearing, Third District Court Commissioner Russell Minas described the relationship between Paul and Mortensen as "very toxic." He emphasized the importance of both parties adhering to the protective orders, stating that violations could lead to criminal charges.
The court's decision follows a series of incidents involving allegations of domestic violence between the two. In 2023, a video surfaced showing Paul physically attacking Mortensen in the presence of her daughter, leading to misdemeanor assault charges against Paul. She pleaded guilty, and under probation terms, the charge will be reduced if she avoids further legal trouble.
As part of the ongoing custody proceedings, Paul has been restricted to supervised visits with her son. The court is expected to issue custody recommendations by May 11.
This case highlights the complexities of domestic violence and child welfare issues, especially when intertwined with the public lives of reality television personalities.
