Russia Held Scaled-Back Victory Day Parade Without Military Hardware
Russia's Victory Day parade in Moscow was notably scaled back, excluding military equipment for the first time in nearly twenty years. This decision was attributed to security concerns related to the ongoing operational situation and recent drone attacks. Initially, officials cited these security challenges as the primary reason for omitting heavy military hardware from the parade.
Later, the parade coincided with a temporary three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, further influencing the event's reduced scale. The omission of military displays marked a significant departure from tradition and reflected the heightened security environment surrounding the event.
