Pakistan Denied Kabul Hospital Airstrike Amid Afghanistan Tensions
An airstrike struck a drug rehabilitation centre in Kabul, resulting in numerous casualties and escalating tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Afghanistan accused Pakistan of targeting the hospital, which Pakistan denied, asserting that its military operations focused solely on militant installations.
Subsequently, Pakistan labeled the Taliban's claims as disinformation and reiterated that its airstrike targeted terrorist infrastructure, not civilian medical facilities. The incident drew attention from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), which called for an end to violence amid the ongoing conflict.
