Tribal Woman Murdered Over Witchcraft Allegation in West Bengal
A 70-year-old tribal woman living in the Belia tribal settlement in Rampurhat, Birbhum district, West Bengal, was accused of practicing witchcraft. Following these allegations, she was murdered, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
In response to the incident, five individuals were arrested by the Birbhum district police. The case led to heightened security measures in the village as the investigation continued to uncover the circumstances surrounding the killing.
