Artemis II Astronauts Address Media from Quarantine Before Lunar Mission

NASA's Artemis II crew is currently in quarantine, addressing media questions ahead of their upcoming mission. The launch is scheduled for early April and marks the first crewed journey around the Moon in more than five decades. The 10-day mission will take the astronauts farther into space than any previous human endeavor.
The crew comprises NASA Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen. This mission will be the inaugural crewed flight of NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion space capsule.
Artemis II builds upon the uncrewed Artemis I mission conducted in 2022 and is a pivotal step in NASA's Artemis program, which aims to establish a sustainable human presence on the Moon and prepare for future missions to Mars.
