Team Cherry Confirms Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Date and Platforms

Team Cherry has announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be released on September 4, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

In a recent Kickstarter update, Team Cherry confirmed that backers of the original Hollow Knight campaign from late 2014 will receive download codes for Silksong. These codes will be provided for PC (Steam and DRM-free) and Nintendo Switch platforms. The developers stated, "We'll be reaching out in the (very) near future to find out your platforms of choice and the best email addresses to send your copy/s."

This update marks the first communication on the Kickstarter platform in six years, following a previous post after E3 2019 discussing a demo for Silksong. The upcoming release has generated significant anticipation, with the original Hollow Knight recently reaching an all-time concurrent player peak on Steam of over 22,000 users.
